Many of our members traveled to the iconic Winter Gardens Ballroom in ,the home of ballroom dancing ,Blackpool. Couples , from Juvenile to Senior, kept the Flag Flying for Ireland with great performances throughout. The following results were achieved by our members: Under 21 Open Standard Championship: Sean Smullen and Hazel Ryan - 3rd place, Shane Leen and Michelle Mutuleasa - Top 24, Simon O'Neill and Shannon Fitzgerald - Top 24, Carl and Aisling Hannon - Top 30. Under 21 Open Latin Championship : Simon O'Neill and Shannon Fitzgerald - Top 12. Under 14 Standard 2 dance : Vitaly Dergachev and Daniela Rose Kutischev - 1st place. Under 14 Latin 2 dance : Vitaly Dergachev and Daniela Rose Kutischev - 2nd place. Juvenile 6 dance championship : Alex Ruddy and Alina Ruda - Top 12. Senior Over 35s 3 dance : Dave and Kathleen Cummings - 2nd place. We would like to congratulate all of our members on their fantastic results. Keep up the hard work. We would also like to mention that this was Vitaly Dergachev and Daniela Rose Kutischev last competition together. They have had a very successful partnership, which included winning the International Latin Championship 2010 and the British Open Latin Championship 2011. We would like to thank both Vitaly and Daniela for their hard work & dedication and wish them the best for their new partnerships and future careers.
